Noted here by Warner Music Japan, for the first press run of February & Heavenly Limited Edition, disc 2 (heavenly6 disc) on Track 7 – I’M YOUR DEVIL -Halloween Remix- there is a sound flaw on the disc at 8 minutes, 13 second mark.

Unfortunately, mine has this flaw as well. bugger. Warner is offering a replacement disc if you send yours to the address noted in the link.

For all those curious about the SSTV Special for Tommy february6 + heavenly6 on the 29th, it was just a re-airing of a bunch of PVs. This is what they aired:

There’s absolutely nothing new we haven’t seen so I won’t be uploading it here, as all of those videos are up for download already. If you still want to download it you can get it at Jpopsuki if you have an account.

As soon as I get my DVD I’ll upload a DVD rip of the full I’M YOUR DEVIL PV and I have received my new MARQUEE mag and will post the scans tomorrow.

I’ve decided to write a small, uncomplicated review of February & Heavenly from a personal perspective. I will admit right off the bat that I am usually more of a fan of heavenly’s music than february’s. That said, when the HOT CHOCOLAT PV came out it greatly surprised me. It provided a harder-hitting beat and showed me another side of february’s sweet sugary pop which I immediately loved… however, the love didn’t carry through the rest of the tracks for me…

February’s tracks:

01. HOT CHOCOLAT – As I said above, this is the standout track for me on february’s disc. The harder pounding synths and catchy lyrics made it an instant love for me and catapulted this track to (at least) my top 5 Tommy february6 tracks of all time… Of course, nothing can beat out the classic KISS ONE MORE TIME and The Rose Fragrance for me.

02. GIMME GIMME GIMME – Thanks to the spreading of a fictitious rumor that spread much further than had hoped, we all had thought this track was a cover of ABBA’s famous track. Not so much. This is an in-your-face sweet track that glows with Tommy’s higher pitched vocals but left me craving … something.

03. I’M YOUR ANGEL – This is, unfortunately, my least favorite of the new tracks. It’s cute and shows the angelic side to heavenly’s ‘I’M YOUR DEVIL’ track. If this track had some sort of ‘surprise’ or ‘breakdown’ akin to Choose me or die (where suddenly Tommy’s telling us to choose her or die, which was unexpected and played a big role in how addictive that track was), I think it could have had more potential than it executed.

04. MY FUTURE BOY – This is a smooth, chill, very retro sounding electro track with a backing guitar. The chorus provides a nice hook and some typical Tommy english: ‘I’m dancing with the future!’ that appealed to me immediately.

05. LAST SLOW DANCE – This is a track that surprised me when it started playing; at first I immediately thought of the brilliant green with the low guitar playing. It’s a nice change for february and I enjoyed it.

06. GOOD NIGHT MY SWEET DAY – This is my second favorite new track! I love the addictive chorus and the breakdown in the middle, although the robotic spelling bee could have been omitted, in my opinion. I wish the whole album was more like this track.

07. I HOLD YOUR NIGHT – Hmm… I still love you boy pt. 2 anyone? Maybe it’s just me that thought that. I don’t feel a second slower song was necessary but it helped slow the pace to close the album for february’s side.

Heavenly’s tracks:

01. CALL ME PRINCESS – Awesome album starter; great song structure and signaled the return of Tommy’s dark rock side. The chorus has an amazing hook as Tommy tells us about magic that will make us mad about her. Classic heavenly.

02. HATE YOUR LIES – We would never want to get on Tommy’s bad side would we? Nope. Especially heavenly’s. Great bridge and chorus.

03. I’M YOUR DEVIL – My thoughts on I’M YOUR DEVIL haven’t changed; it’s still a great track but dated, Halloween remix or not. This song is almost 3 years old now and am kind of bitter towards the fact we got two versions on the album and only 4 new heavenly tracks in total. That said, I am glad I have this version to listen to without the skit; I only wish it had Tommy’s breakdown and the ‘Can you hear me boys?’ bit in it.

04.  YOU HURT ME – Starts with roaring guitar and typical heavenly attitude. She’s been lied to and hurt on this album! Jeez, poor heavenly!

05. monochrome rainbow – I have never been a huge fan of anime, ever. That said, it is obviously a huge staple in Japan and plays a huge part in whether a song can do well or not depending on the tie-in. The anime tie-in for monochrome rainbow made it popular and is a nice change for heavenly.

06. DARK DARK SKY – Has a very cool intro but lacks a bit of punch I was hoping for. I found myself reminiscing on I KILL MY HEART when I heard this track, which isn’t a bad thing as I am one of the proud few IKMH fans.

07. I’M YOUR DEVIL -HALLOWEEN REMIX- – Hmm… so many thoughts. I am beyond elated Tommy decided to do another 10 minute, 31 second masterpiece but this isn’t as close to as good as Lollipop Candy BAD girl was for me. The guy in the skit, who I believe is one of the dudes that appeared alongside the brilliant green in their newest PVs is provokingly terrible. I liked Tommy’s poem but I find myself grinding my teeth listening to the guy trying to sound ‘whimsical’ in his high pitched voice. By the time he’s squeaking ‘trick or treat, trick or treat’, I’m contemplating homicide. I believe this track could have been much better without him. The rest of the track was awesome.

To summarize, I wish there was more. I wish there was a full 14 tracks of heavenly and 14 tracks of february. I hope it won’t be long before we get more Tommy! Please note my review was not meant to offend or judge but was just my personal opinion.
